The short version
Circles is a free, private space for sharing everyday moments with the people you choose. It is built and run by Mono Software (OPC) Private Limited in India. Your photos, videos and posts stay yours. Be at least 13, don't post anything harmful or illegal, and don't try to break the app. We may change the product or these terms, and we'll tell you when it matters.
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Circles mobile application, the website at meetcircles.app, and any related service ("Service") operated by Mono Software (OPC) Private Limited ("Mono", "we", "us", or "our"), a company incorporated under the laws of India.
By downloading, accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. The Service
Circles is a closed social network for sharing photos, videos and updates with small groups of people you trust. Features and availability are described on our website and in the app and may change at any time.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service, or older if the law where you live sets a higher minimum age for using a social app. By using it, you represent that you meet this requirement and that any information you provide is accurate.
3. Accounts
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity that happens under your account. Don't share your login details. Notify us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.
4. Pricing
Circles is free to download and use. No payment is collected through the Service and there are no subscriptions, in-app purchases or advertisements. If that ever changes, we will show you the full terms of any paid feature before you are asked to pay anything, and you will be free not to.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Post content that is harmful, abusive, illegal, or violates others' privacy or intellectual-property rights
- Attempt to access other users' accounts or data without authorization
- Use the Service to spam, harass, or impersonate others
- Use automated means to access or scrape the Service beyond normal use
- Reverse engineer, copy, redistribute or tamper with the Service
- Misuse or circumvent any safety, reporting or access control mechanism
Our Content Policy and Child Safety Policy describe in more detail what is and isn't allowed, and form part of these Terms.
6. Your Content
The content you post on Circles — photos, videos, captions, reactions and profile details ("Your Content") — remains yours. By using the Service, you grant Mono a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process and display Your Content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you and to the people you have chosen to share it with. We don't claim ownership of Your Content.
You are responsible for Your Content, including having the right to share it and the consent of anyone who appears in it.
7. Intellectual Property
All content, design, code and branding associated with the Service, other than Your Content, are owned by Mono Software (OPC) Private Limited. You may not reproduce, distribute or create derivative works without explicit written permission.
8. Third-Party Services
The Service relies on third-party providers: Supabase (database, authentication and file storage), Google (Google Sign-In, push notification delivery and, on the website, Google Analytics), Apple (Sign in with Apple and push notification delivery) and Sentry (error reporting). These are listed in full, with what each one handles, in our Privacy Policy. Mono is not responsible for the availability, accuracy or conduct of third-party services.
9. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Mono does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or always available, or that content shared with you will be preserved indefinitely. Keep your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Mono shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Because the Service is free, our total liability for any claim shall not exceed INR 1,000.
11. Modifications
We may update features, change how the app works, or modify these Terms at any time. We will let you know about significant changes and update the "Last updated" date at the top of this document. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
12. Termination
You can delete your account at any time from Settings in the app, or by following the steps on our account deletion page. Mono reserves the right to suspend or terminate access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that violates these Terms or is otherwise harmful to Mono, its users or third parties.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maharashtra, India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Nagpur, Maharashtra.
